Screw Cap Opener

For easier opening of screw caps on canning jars.

Place it on the jar below the lid between the threads, lift slightly until a distinct “pop” is heard.

This releases the vacuum in the jar and the lid can be easily unscrewed.

I use here M6 washers - ISO 7093 made of stainless steel V2a which must be glued into the slots with superglue,

otherwise the printed lugs would break off and the opener would be damaged.

The washers should be available at any hardware store, alternatively, euro cent coins could be used.

A 3D-CAD model has been added (STEP), so the slots for the washers can be adjusted if necessary.
