Relive the nostalgia of Friday night movie rentals with this functional VHS-style stash box! Designed to look exactly like a classic videotape, this secret compartment features a hinged lid and plenty of room inside to hide small items, keepsakes, or candy. The “Be Kind Rewind” label adds a retro touch that’s both fun and familiar.
Also included is a blank lid version so you can add your own label, title, or decal to personalize it however you like!
Printed in two parts with print-in-place hinges and minimum supports required, it’s both an aesthetic prop and a clever storage solution. Designed in Plasticity by a father of 10, inspired by the joy of teaching creativity and nostalgia through functional design.
This model is simple to assemble. After printing the lid of choice, bottom, and pins (there are two hinge pins on each lid plate), remove the easy to remove supports for the hinge pin guides, on the bottom part of the model.
Then place the lid on top with the hinge to the back lined up to the hinge pin guides, and press in each pin on each side (2 pins). Each pin is designed to be friction fitted with a .38 tolerance along with a chamfered end allowing easy insertion.
