99% Perfect Fit! – Rig Cage for Sony ZV-E10!

 

Hey friends!

I finally finished designing a custom cage just for the Sony ZV-E10!
This isn’t a simple copy of a commercial Custom Rig cage—it’s an original design I built from scratch by carefully studying the camera’s shape, usability, and real-world needs.
All of it measured with just a 20cm steel ruler and refined through 30+ print tests.

Yep—it now fits with around 99% accuracy, and it’s almost indistinguishable from an actual S Rig!

Through countless iterations, I fixed every possible interference:
✅ The flip screen swings freely
✅ Side ports and battery doors are accessible
✅ Mounting points align perfectly

I even tested it in PLA, and the strength was totally usable in the field.
Of course, if you print it in PETG, you’ll get even better durability.

✨ Bonus Add-ons!

  • Comes with a perfectly balanced Top Handle for secure grip and extra cold shoe slots
  • Right side: Accessory mount for a hand strap
  • Left side: Dedicated add-on with a cold shoe slot for mics or lights

This is the first version, and I’d love your feedback.
If enough people test it and share ideas, I’ll definitely release a refined V2 soon!

Oh—and I ran out of black filament during testing, so this one’s printed in bright red 😅
Unexpectedly... it doesn’t look too bad, right?
But trust me—print it in black PLA or PETG, and it'll look just like a real production cage.

If you want the full setup from Rig with all the accessories, you’re easily looking at $100+.
But this one? You just need a bit of PLA and a little patience.

I didn’t design this for a contest—I designed it for myself, for real use.
So you can trust it’ll actually work in the field, not just look cool online.

I only have the ZV-E10 for now, but I’d love to keep building more universal accessories in the future.
