Description

Boost Me (for free)

This was my first fully Blender-made model and took a lot of time and effort to create. If you like it, feel free to give it a boost — it’s free and really appreciated!

Please read instructions further down!

This is a 3D model of the Noahram sword, the iconic blade from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It’s designed to pair with the previously released Gustave’s pistol, which was very well received—thank you all for the incredible support!

The sword measures 132 cm (approximately 52 inches) in total length when assembled and was created in Blender as an extension of my original prop series inspired by the unique dark fantasy world of Clair Obscur. Its design blends Belle Époque elegance with practical engineering—a fitting counterpart to Gustave’s firearm.

Instructions

The print profile includes the pre-cut sword divided into parts that fit on one standard print bed, along with a set of dowel connectors for precise alignment during assembly. The dowels differ slightly in size to ensure a secure fit between the sword sections. The size differences between the dowels can be very small and may not be visually noticeable. To help with this, the assembly picture shows exactly which dowels connect which parts of the sword. Make sure to keep track of which dowel goes where after removing them from the plate!

Important Assembly Tip
If you find that a dowel requires force to insert, it’s likely not the right one for that section. Try a different one before applying pressure.

The sword is glued together using PLA glue or superglue. While it’s not made for heavy swinging or combat use, the model is surprisingly robust considering the blade is just about 7.5 mm thick and fully made out of pla.

For a more durable version, you can reinforce the blade with a wooden or carbon fiber rod—perfect if you want to carry it for extended cosplay wear or display it with extra confidence. To do this you can modify the included stl to your liking.

The download includes:

  • Pre-cut sword printprofile with dowels (fits a standard print bed)
  • Uncut full-length STL for those who want to customize their cut (e.g. to insert a long internal rod)

This is the perfect addition to your Clair Obscur cosplay setup or as a standout display piece for fans of the game.
I hope you enjoy building it as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life!

Verry well made model and well made print profile. I would like to see only projects of that quality. My only issue with that is weak narrow area behind handle. I broke it three times during sanding so I would suggest increasing infill to make it stronger. In my case 90% of time took filling, sanding and painting everything, but I just wanted to get rid of any layer line

Thanks :D I almost finished it a week earlier, but somehow I grabbed a spray can of white paint instead of clear coat and realized that a moment too late. Luckily, I managed to salvage it.

a little support-scarring is normal. this on the other hand is a bit much. was it difficult to remove the supports? if so, try to enlarge the distance between supports and object. things like that can also happen when the surrounding temperature is too hot. best operating temperature for printing with pla is 20-24°C roomtemperature.

Yes but I print with PETG

Hmm the profile is optimized for PLA. I think that could be the problem. Have you tried calibrating your overhang settings Apologies for the late reply. It seems on MakerWorld you only get a notification when a new comment is created but not when it is replied to

green PETG.. because.. I dunno why. Printed amazing, I need to paint it now. I’m going to make a display back for the sword and gun.

Oh wow! That looks really interesting—almost like some kind of crystal blade! PETG might be a great choice; it should be quite a bit stronger than PLA. Thanks for printing!

Hello, would it be possible to add the PETG print profile please?

hey, I think you should be able to simply select your preferred petg for the profile instead of PLA. This should also work with the mobile app. please tell me if I‘m wrong, then I‘ll upload a PETG-Profile 😊

Really cool and pretty sturdy for a sword this long and thin, painted it with paint markers and looks pretty ok. Amazing model.

I am new and have this problem: I want to print it two-color and because of this seam, I have 255 color changes Why is that In the coloring view, I don't see it this way What kind of seam is this (not a support structure) Can you color the inside

hey, the seam is something you can only see after slicing the model. not when painting in the slicer. on the picture it seems like the inside of the handle where the dowel is plaxed is grey aswell. this might be the reason for the extra amount of color changes. what you could do with this part is adding a colorswap on a certain layer. when you sliced the model in a single color go to the right scrollbar in the slicer view. you can select the specific layer number you want the color to be swapped at and press the little + icon. then you can select another color.
