Description

The container works with Prusa spools, elegoo spools and bambulab spools. If anyone could test others that would be great. Outside diameter is 51 mm for reference. I can also adapt the design for other spools if it doesn’t fit.

The container doesn’t protrude over the filament roles outside, so it is perfectly suited for storage and the AMS.

You can use the scale feature in bambuslicer if you have other filament roles that don’t fit. You have to scale all parts equally, so that the screw and clip in mechanism still work.

How to Print:

If you print these yourself use Arachne walls for the screw mechanisms and a small layer height of 0.12 with the 0.4 mm nozzle. All parts of the design must be printed with the Screw at the top, away from the build plate.

Best is to use PLA but PETG should also work. Use only material that gives good printing results, as the design has quite a bit of small details.

Don’t put the container in the oven with these materials! Empty the silica gel out before drying.

How to assemble:

Use a bit of glue for added security on the bottom before inserting it. Clip in the bottom with the protruding keys going into the corresponding holes. Give it a good push and it will lock once it’s inserted fully. Be careful with the clips, as they can be damaged easily, because of their compliancy.

The top lid screws in place and should be lightly tightened when closed.
