Description
"I love it when a plan comes together!" That's exactly what you'll say after assembling this legendary GMC Vandura 1979 van from the A-Team
Hello everyone, I am happy to present my latest creation, it is a 4-wheel drive spring-powered car themed after the A-Team, you will also find some accessories like a ramp, some barrels, and a workshop crane. You can bring your GMC van to life because it is equipped with a powerful spring mechanism that drives all 4 wheels of the vehicle. (Dimensions: 170mm x 70mm x 65mm). I played with the transmission so that the front wheels turn very slightly faster than the rear wheels; this helps the vehicle roll straight. I also added a differential on each axle just for fun… but it turned out they also improve traction. Assembly only requires 8 BHC M3 x 10 screws - about $1 for a bag of 20 screws (you also have the option of a glued assembly without screws, although I prefer a screwed assembly to be able to test all transmissions or change broken parts… )
If you are already familiar with my spring-powered vehicle creations, you know that I usually offer different transmissions; this model is no exception. You will find the standard transmission in the complete print profile, then 2 transmissions: a short one and a very short one in a separate print profile. (The advantage of a screw assembly is that you can test all transmissions by printing only one GMC van). To do this, you just need to change gears N°1 and N°2. In the accessories print profile, you will also find parts for an assembly without a differential as well as a central axle that will allow an assembly without a spring mechanism (only for Diorama or for pushing it to roll)
Find different accessories in a separate print profile, they will allow you to recreate the mythical scenes and stunts from the series. Stack the barrels, place the ramp and the crane, back up a few meters then release the van so it makes a jump hitting the barrels!!! The A-Team is coming!!! (Ask for other accessories, I will study the requests)
Traction will be improved if you use TPU to print your tires, TPU for AMS drifts a bit, TPU 90-85A works but the best is RECREUS's TPU 60A. If you want to install the short transmissions, it is advisable to use 60A. Printing this TPU 60A is not easy, which is why I offer you a dedicated and fully parameterized profile for tires (you can also use it for your other TPU 60A prints)
I have created a complete and illustrated assembly manual to guide you during assembly, but I remain available if you have any doubts or encounter difficulties. You can also refer to the video below
