Safety Lock for Window Cat Guard

We had the problem that one of our cats threw the safety net out of the window and got itself trapped in the tilted window, so I quickly designed a safety device to prevent this from happening again.

These grids are good and useful, but when you clamp them between the window and the frame, they can be thrown out, and the holes for screws are positioned in such a way that screws would hang in the air or the window would have to be drilled, so this solution was not an option.

This solution took 5 minutes to design and 30 minutes to print + double-sided PVC adhesive tape ;)

I would also recommend the latter or, if it needs to adhere more firmly, MEM mounting adhesive.

The model comes directly with 2 parts that are sufficient for a tilted window/grid.

The short part of the model is glued on with the double-sided adhesive tape and the longer part is slid over the connector.

It requires no support and in white PLA it is barely visible on white windows.

The two printed top parts are differently aligned so that they wedge the grid and even a large cat cannot push the grid out.

However, I cannot give any guarantee and am still testing it myself, but so far successfully ;)
