Introducing Greenhouse RainLink - Save tap water, use rain!
About Greenhouse RainLink
Have you ever thought about that you use a lot of water watering your plants in your greenhouse? With Greenhouse RainLink you can save money on your water bill, and use the power of the world and the gutter on your Greenhouse instead!
Why? After trying several designs already available on Makerworld etc, i decided to create my own design. It's a two part design, where one part is the bracket that can be modified to your greenhouse, and the bucket/gardena that connects to that a generel design i hope all can use.
After using it for 2 weeks in Denmark on each side of the Greenhouse roof, we have saved over 500 Liters of water, so it work and saves money on your water bill. People more clever than me, also says your plants actually love rainwater more than normal tap water (dont quote me on that).
My design mindset was creating it in 2 parts as what i could find didnt fit properly or was hard to print.
About this part
This part of the design is the bucket, that slides over the bracket and connects to a normal Gardena coupler, where you can put a gardena hose on and put into your watertank.
Step file is included to allow modifications to your needs, but if possible modify the bracket instead if it dosent fit your greenhouse.
Parts:
- Bracket - here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1570082-greenhouse-rainlink-bracket
- Bucket and top (This part)
- A Gardena coupler and a bit of hose to your water tank.
Comment if you have any questions, and for the first time look forward to a bit of rain over your greenhouse!
