Description

Hello!

There are several MUNBYN thermal printer stands available, but here’s my take on it.

I try to follow what I call a MVP – Minimum Viable Plastic – approach. The idea is to use the least amount of plastic required while maintaining functionality and structural integrity.

It’s specifically designed to hold the MUNBYN 130B model, but the dimensions I can modify it to accommodate other models (if requested).

*EDIT : I've added the 3d file for a MUNBYN 941 as a special request. Please check in the source files.

*EDIT 2: The 941 model has been updated with a 10mm offset, has the printer is not symmetric. Sorry for everyone that has tried it, I do not have this printer myself to try it on.

*EDIT 3:  I added a 12 mm pin for label rolls with a small diameter. I suggest printing it vertically, but you can also print it horizontally if you want to make it stronger.

It hold 500 label rolls, but can be used to align flat labels.

Hope you enjoy it!

good model. however. :) on 941 the spool needs to be 9mm/10mm more to the left as its not centred

Please check the updated model (v2) if you want to print a better base. I made a 10mm offset, I hope it works :) If it does, could you share a print profile? (I don't have the printer, so it is useless for me to print it) cheers!

i have uploaded my profile with a few changes. I modifed the roll holder to give it a screw in retainer as it there was movement and it was slipping off. also increased height of roll and distance from back by an extra 10mm as the bottom of my rolls were hitting the usb wire.

I know this is for another thermal printer, but this also worked great with my Jadens thermal printer! Thanks! Awesome print! Pickle Rick loves it too! lol

This design is perfect!! I had so many issues with aligning the labels before. Thank you so much for sharing the step files, I adjusted it to fit my printer model.

5+ Stars for this model. This is a great design. Is there any chance you'd be interested in designing a 12mm shaft to accommodate rolls of 40 x 30 mm labels used for filament ID tags? I'm currently using a threaded rod, but it's not as aesthetically pleasing.

yes possibly, it shouldnt be long to make. What is the width of the roll? Does it need to center the roll left-right in your opinion?

The roll is 43mm wide and when full has a diameter of 39mm. The core has an ID of 12.6mm. It's pretty small and light, at only 44g for a full roll. It tracks pretty well behind the printer since it has locks to keep the labels straight as they run through. I don't think it requires an special positioning. The printer pulls the labels through and the roll just sits on the rod, tracking right behind. I think you did a much better job designing this stand than you realize. Good job!

I have a Munbyn 130B and this is quite possibly the handiest thing I've ever printed, even better than my gridwall! I would love to see a printer holder with a customizable stackable multi-level label holder (ie: 4" wide flat, 4" wide roll, 3" wide roll, 2" wide roll, etc) but until someone more talented than me designs one, this is awesome! Thanks so much for creating it and posting it!
