Rotating Pyramid Storage Box

A 3D-printed pyramid featuring hidden swing-out compartments, designed in marble PLA for a stylish, stone-like appearance. Perfect for storing jewellery, coins, or other small items.

Build Notes

✅ Pins

• 16 pivot pins (5 mm long × 1.5 mm thick)

✅ Screws (all M3):

• 1 × 15 mm
• 1 × 32 mm (30 mm can also work)
• 5 × 40 mm
• 2 × 10 mm

Assembly Overview

• The pyramid is built from 8 levels, numbered from top (1) to base (8).
• Levels 7 and 5 are divided into four sections each.
• Levels 8 and 6 act as supports with no storage compartments.
• Levels 4, 3, 2, and 1 each contain one compartment.

Screw placement details:

• 32 mm screw connects section 2 to section 1
• 40 mm screw connects level 2 to level 3
• 40 mm screw connects level 3 to level 4
• 15 mm screw connects level 4 to level 5
• Two 40 mm screws secure the centre block of level 5 to level 6
• One 40 mm screw connects level 6 to the centre block on level 8
• Two 10 mm screws go on the underside of levels 6 and 4 (one in each) to prevent excessive pivoting

Design notes:

• The underside of levels 8 and 6 has been optimised to remove unnecessary material, saving filament.
• You can use supports if you like, but bridging works fine on these areas, and since they aren’t visible, slight imperfections won’t matter.
