Description

Wanted a good Bill Cipher that could print in a single model. Assembled this one from parts, to get it to line up well and solidly, colored and printed.

Print profiles for a single, or 5 at once provided, as well as a variable layer height version.

2024-06: Dirty Faced Kid added a separate print + assemble profile, which drastically reduces print time and wastage.

2024-09: I've spent some time further optimising this, based on Dirty Faced Kid's approach. As much as I love print-in-place things, the wastage is very high, and the supports are a killer. So, I split this into 2 plates. The plate with the base and arms/legs/hat is a print-by-object configuration, so there is only one colour change for the whole plate. I also re-did some of the painting on Bill's white lines & tie to neaten that part up slightly.

Overall, this brings it down to 2.2 hours for the 2 plates. I used a small dab of hot-glue in each of the arm/leg sockets, pushed them in while it was hot. Hot-glue under each foot to stick him to the base, and then I used a clipped off piece of paperclip in the hole between the hat & body, with hot-glue as well to really secure it.
