Description

Most people will replace the DR650 tail light with a DRZ 200 light which is much smaller. Because the average cost of that light is $100, I wanted to find a cheaper option. My model uses a DRC CRF-X light that can be had for around $20. Here is the link to it: http://www.drcproducts.com/elect/d45-29-33/index.html . It can be found on amazon & procycle websites. https://procycle.us/product/1854

This project begins with this model on 3D cults that is not mine. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/dr650-mini-led-rear-light-mount . He inspired me to fit a different light then the one he suggests in his post. Because its not mine, I will not be adding that model into this page, but you can buy it from him for 50 cents. You will need to move the hole spacing out a little to fit the CRF light. I also added 4mm to the “clip” on his model. I will attach a screenshot to show what I mean. This added 4mm allows the plate to have a snug fit on the bike.

The original bolts that hold the light in place will need to be shortened a tad when using the 3D cults plate. The shortened bolts and nuts are M6

Originally the light is held on with 3 bolts, but you will only use 2 with the plate on 3D cults so I added a printable grommet that plugs the extra hole.

My cover that fits the actual DRC light should fit snug. The light is threaded for 2 M5 bolts.

I printed everything in PETG
