Universal Stand – Functionality Meets Design
🛠️ Idea & Motivation
The idea stemmed from the need for a stable, minimalist, and versatile stand for smartphones, tablets, or other devices. Existing solutions were either too unstable, unwieldy, or aesthetically unappealing – so I promptly designed one myself.
✏️ Design & Construction
- Independent construction using CAD software
- Optimized for 3D printing: lightweight, stable, and printable without support structures
- Form follows clean lines with a gently curved front for a secure grip
- Dimensions and angles tested for ideal viewing angles and device compatibility
🖨️ 3D Printing
- Material: PLA
- Layer height: 0.12 mm
- Print time: 1 hour
- No glue or post-processing required
