Automatic Water Dispenser for Plants - PET Bottle

Summary

This watering system consists of the following parts:

• PET Bottle
  Testet with 500ml watter bottles from Supermarket “Kaufland”. 
  I can also create other versions. Feel free to write to me. I only need the inner diameter of the bottles.
• 3D-printed Bottle Part
• 3D-printed Lid

• Clay Cone
  This watering system uses hoses that lead to a water bucket. I only used the tips, which happened to fit exactly in a PET bottle. 
  With filled water buckets, I often had problems with dirt in the water, the water quickly turned green, or the water was not pumped well.

Steps to be taken:

• Cut off the bottom of the PET bottle
• Insert the 3D-printed bottle adapter into the bottle
• Insert the clay cone into the bottle

Mounting in the plant:

• The clay cone must be properly wet before insertion.
• Fill the bottle with water
• Insert the 3D-printed lid
• Wet the earth near the plant.
  Place the bottle in the plant earth near the plant root. So deep that the clay cone is completely in the earth

Filament

The parts were 3D printed with PETG. This works very well. PETG can withstand higher temperatures than PLA.

Print Information

• All parts are printed in 0.2 mm layer height. 
• No support needed!
