Enlarged Airbox for T5 Filter - Vespa Largeframe

This project is an enlarged airbox specifically designed to accommodate the T5 filter on Vespa Largeframe engines. The goal is to provide optimized airflow for enhanced configurations while maintaining compatibility and ease of installation.

✔️ Compatible with T5 filter
✔️ Increased volume for improved engine breathing
✔️ Includes a TPU gasket for the idle screw, ensuring a perfect seal and eliminating unwanted vibrations.

The print is designed for mechanical strength and precision detailing, perfect for real-world road use or racing configurations.

Printing recommendations:

  • Recommended material: ASA for the airbox, TPU for the gasket
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Possibility of modifying the text directly in Bambu Studio

Perfect for those seeking to enhance their Vespa engine performance without sacrificing clean, functional style.

Hello If I understand correctly, this carburetor float bowl cover only has straight edges. Just like your lifting device. However, all of our carburetors do not have a straight edge (see picture). Do you perhaps have another version? Best regards Michele

I would need the bottom part of the carburetor, considering that before I got all the measurements right, I printed several. Since I don't have a scanner, I started with a top-down photo scaled and then modeled the shape, then the various fine-tunings, including mounting it on the vest for clearance and even the shock absorber's end of travel. I crushed a few before I got it right. I did it more as an exercise and the satisfaction of having printed it myself. I would have been faster to buy one already made🤣

hello! I have a question and would like to know why when I print it, 3 printing plates come out, two of them are the box itself, one in petg and another in ASA. Could you tell me if both need to be printed to manufacture this product?

Hi, in the same project I inserted two profiles, one PETG and the other ASA. It is enough to print one. I recommend ASA due to the temperatures.

Hello....your print profile is fine in itself...the print worked great so far, but why don't you place the air filter box "Face down" on the print bed.....?.....then the box surface would have a nicer appearance from the print bed's impression and you could save almost all the support inside the lid, only a little support would still be necessary for the overhang at the lid's edge Could you change your print profile in that regard..??...would that be feasible Best regards Hygge 👋🏻 👋🏻

Hi, thanks for the advice, I printed the test parts as you said, but printed that way the spokes come out very badly and the overall aesthetic is much worse.
