Air Conditioning window exhaust adapter with cover

I created an adapter to vent hot air from my portable air conditioner’s hose. After placing a plywood board in the window shutter’s guide rails, I cut a hole the size of the hose, which tapers from round to oval. I designed two panels that clip together, sandwiching the wooden board (16mm thick) around the hole.

The inner panel has a top slot where you can insert a cover to block the hole when the air conditioner isn’t in use. The end of the AC hose easily clips in and out by sliding it into the guides from above, allowing you to close the window when the unit is off.

Among the posted photos, you’ll find the measurements of my hose’s inner and outer perimeter, so you can check compatibility with yours or adjust the design accordingly.
Prepare to cut away the supports from the inner panel: it's a complex design and it needs supports.

Tips:

• The locking mechanism for the two panels is designed to be permanent once snapped together, so don’t be surprised if it’s very tight—only assemble it when you’re sure of the placement.
• I recommend heat-resistant materials like PETG, ABS, or similar. The hose gets very hot, and PLA may easily warp.
• Remember to remove the cover when running your unit, or it will overheat.
