This DIY project stemmed from a personal need, fulfilling my desire for both functionality and aesthetics. This expansion drip tray attachment is robust and leakproof (adding support to the bottom is recommended due to the drip tray's weight!). Adding the drip tray to a Xiaomi Fish Tank Gen 1 will result in approximately a 1°C increase in water temperature due to the drip tray pump's heat output!!
If you have a riser, adding this is unbeatable! (However, the riser may interfere and require sanding!)
