This smart DIY project shows how to build a digital billboard with an ESP8266 (e.g. D1 Mini) and a MAX7219 LED matrix – fully controllable via a self-developed web interface

If your web interface is only black: The problem usually occurs because the exact same library versions are not being used. These three libraries are particularly important:
- ESPAsyncWebServer
- ESPAsyncTCP
- ESP8266WiFi
Solution (simply choose):
Download my ready-made ZIP file from MakerWorld – it contains all libraries in the correct version. Simply unpack it and replace your old libraries with it.
OR
- Follow my instructions exactly on the website (step-by-step with Arduino IDE images) – this way you will install the same versions as I use.
This will make the website work perfectly again for almost everyone! 😊
