Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW), Wall-mounted Storage System
Print Profile(1)

Description
Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) is a hexagonal honeycomb storage system designed for 3D printing. Print several interlocking honeycomb panels and assemble them on a wall like a beehive. Various printable hooks, boxes, and brackets can be easily added and removed, providing flexible organization for lightweight tools and parts. Originally released in 2021 by Czech designer RostaP on Printables (https://www.printables.com/model/152592-honeycomb-storage-wall), it quickly gained popularity on Reddit, YouTube, and other communities.

Each panel requires approximately 77g of filament, significantly less material than pegboards. If you prioritize durability and safety, traditional pegboards (especially metal ones) remain a reliable, long-term solution, offering a mature ecosystem of accessories and easy maintenance. However, if you own a 3D printer, enjoy DIY projects, and primarily store lightweight tools or 3D printing supplies, HSW offers the most flexible and aesthetically pleasing modular experience.
The community offers a vast array of storage models for both HSW and pegboards. With simple modifications in Bambu Studio, adding connectors allows for easy wall mounting. You can even use 3D printing polishing solution (acetone) as an adhesive to attach individually printed connectors to any PLA/PETG creations for wall mounting. Integrating cable organizers is straightforward.
PLA/PETG is a suitable printing material, but avoid placing heavy objects. Careful design enhances load-bearing capacity and minimizes deformation. If necessary, use carbon fiber reinforced filament to further improve load capacity.
