A Minimalistic Car Thing Stand Inspired by DeskThing

This stand is designed to hold your Car Thing using only its original accessories. The Car Thing is secured in place with the included magnetic base. Then use some double-sided tape to stick to a monitor or another surface. The model includes angles ranging from -5 to 15 degrees.

You will need:

  1. The original magnetic mount.
  2. A Torx T10 screwdriver bit.
  3. Double-sided tape

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Remove the M3 screw from the back of the magnetic Car Thing mount using the Torx T10 screwdriver bit.
  2. Separate the front and back halves of the mount.
  3. Insert the front half of the mount into the hole in the stand and secure it in place using the screw from step 1.
  4. Run a USB-C cable through the back hole on the left side of the stand.
  5. Plug the USB-C cable into the Car Thing, then attach the Car Thing to the stand using the magnetic base. Push it flush against the left side of the stand.
