Description

Hey guys so I have an Anycubic Kobra Max 3 Combo as well as my beloved two P1S's and I was struggling to add PTFE Tubes to my ACE in the same way as my AMS has.

So I took it apart and redesigned these feed caps so you can insert standard PTFE Tube and feed the ACE properly.

The tube I used was the leftover extra tube that shipped with my printers. I'm assuming its the standard 3D printer gauge of tubing.

Printing

So I printed these on my P1S using PLA+ for durability. I'm assuming it would work with regular PLA but I would avoid the Silks and such as they may be more brittle and the tabs might break off.

Standard 0.2 layer height print on basically standard settings no supports required.

Feel free to modify the print profile to suit your printing style but this worked for me :)

Installation

To install these first you will need to remove the ones already in the ACE Pro and to do that you are going to just use the hex key that comes with the printer and undo the two bolts either side of the front plate. Gently clip the front plate off revealing the gears and drive mechanisms underneath. be careful not to damage or mess with any of that!

OK so now you have the faceplate you need to flip it over and use a small screwdriver or small hex key to carefully push one of the tabs on each key and they should pop right out.

After all 4 are out, take the four new ones you printed; first you need to attach the PTFE tube BEFORE putting the caps in the face plate.

Its a tight fit! I made it this way to stop it coming loose. To get the PTFE tube all the way through you want to kind of screw them on. keep twisting and applying pressure until the tube is through the other side. you want the tube to clear the end by maybe 2mm

Now you have four caps with the tubes attached you can now put them into the faceplate.

To start put each in diagonally like in my pics and turn to line it up. when they are lined up just firmly press on them and they should click into place.

Now you're all set to reassemble the ACE PRO by putting the faceplate back on and putting both screws back in.

The length of PTFE you use is entirely up to you. I prefer to have the pulling force from the top of the roll so i have mine like shown in the pics.

Anyway I hope this goes on to help some people upgrade their ACE PROs!

Thanks for downloading and stuff :))

Iif you can show some love that would be great! I hope to make many more models in the future!
