Custom Replacement Knob for Ascaso Steel Duo
This replacement knob is designed as a clean, functional upgrade for the Ascaso Steel Duo. It’s useful if your original knob is worn or damaged, or if you simply prefer a more modern look.
Now Available in M10 and M12
The knob was originally designed for an M10 threaded handle, but there is now an additional M12 version. (Thanks @Peleke for testing) This makes it compatible with both standard and many aftermarket handles. The internal threads provide a solid, secure fit, and the exterior design matches the industrial style of the Ascaso.
Material and Print Details
The example shown is printed in PETG, which offers the right balance of strength, slight flexibility, and heat resistance near the steam wand. It keeps its shape over time and holds up well around threaded parts.
Recommended print settings:
- Material: PETG (ABS may also work but hasn’t been tested)
- Infill: 25% gyroid
- Layer height: 0.2 mm, optionally with variable layers for finer surface detail
- Supports: Required (take extra care cleaning the internal threads)
When removing supports inside the thread, make sure no residue remains, as even small imperfections can prevent the handle from screwing in properly.
Installation
