Description

This is a custom-designed lens hood for the Canon XA10, printed in two parts for easy assembly and durability. No supports needed. Just print both pieces in PLA (or a more rugged material like PETG or ABS if preferred), align the screw holes, and fasten with four small screws of your choice. That’s it—ready to shoot.

The hood locks in place via a custom bayonet-style mount that replaces the factory hood, offering sun/glare protection while preserving the camera’s compact form.

Confirmed Fit:
✔️ Canon XA10
✔️ Canon XA20 / XA25 (identical lens barrel diameter)
✔️ Canon VIXIA HF G10 / G20 / G30 (shares the same 58mm filter threading and lens hood system)
✔️ Other Canon cameras with 58mm lens hood mounts (test fit advised)

Features:

  • Lightweight two-piece design
  • Prints flat, no supports required
  • Custom internal lip for secure lens fit
  • Includes screw holes (screws not included – maker’s discretion)
  • Designed for functional field use

Recommended Settings:

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Infill: 15–20%
  • Assembly: 4x small screws (recommended length: 6–10mm)

Notes:

  • This is a functional replacement or mod part, not an exact OEM replica
  • Intended for makers familiar with basic assembly
  • Make sure to test fit before use on non-listed camera models
