Description

This project aims to solve the problem of finally finding a place for dishcloths and sponges near the sink. Often, rags and sponges simply lie around in the kitchen after use, unable to dry properly. Quickly drying dishwashing utensils is important to prevent bacteria from multiplying further. The small hooks can also be used to hang a small brush or other kitchen utensils. I designed the holder so that it can be attached to all standard faucets. The zip mechanism of the cable tie helps ensure that the holder can be attached to the faucet quickly and easily. If you ever want to remove the holder, the cable tie can be removed without damaging it and reused.

Notes on the filaments: You can use any type of filament for the holder. I have successfully tested all prototypes with PLA. When it comes to cable ties, it's very important not to use PLA, but rather PETG, ABS, ASA, or TPU. All my tests resulted in the cable ties breaking after brief mechanical movements. So please do not use PLA. I made the cable opening on the holder large enough so that a standard cable tie from retail or hardware store can also be used.

I've already developed the holder a bit further. In my print profile, you'll find an attachment with a double arm for larger dishcloths or two dishcloths. I also developed a larger sponge holder. Since sponges come in different sizes, I developed a larger sponge holder so that a 100 mm long sponge can also be placed there.

Assembly instructions: To help you understand how everything is assembled, I've created a few GIFs. I hope they're informative.

Step 1: Apply cable ties

Step 2: Place the bracket around the water faucet and tighten it

Step 3: Attach the inserts for the bracket

Step 4: Hang up the dishcloth and place the sponge on the shelf

If you have any comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to write to me.

The printing went well and I like the concept of being able to attach it to the faucet with a cable tie Unfortunately, the printed one, although printed in petg, is not usable so I used a commercial one The sponge holder is too small for my use, I will have to enlarge it

it printed perfectly, but Couldn’t use on my sink as my sink has a very low space below the faucet, so when I tie it on the faucet , base, it comes in the way if I want to move
