Description
Two-Bay Drill Station for Pegboard – Robust 3D Printable Mount
Organize your workspace with this 2-Bay Drill Station, a durable and customizable solution for storing cordless drills on a pegboard wall. Designed with functionality and flexibility in mind, this station is ideal for Wall Control metal pegboard systems but is also fully compatible with standard 1/4" pegboard.
Two Mounting Options Included:
1. Peggit-Compatible Version (With releasable tabs)
- Based on the popular Peggit system by RobertCowanDIY
- Attaches with four Peggit clips using automotive-style rivets for a rock-solid hold
- Features a custom receiver that slides onto Peggit clips:
- Top clips secure the station from pulling away
- Bottom clips lock it in place and allow for easy removal
- To detach: squeeze the lower tabs and push upward with firm pressure
- Integrated print-in-place supports – no slicer supports needed
- Optimized for 0.2mm layer height for integrated supports
To remove supports, remove the extra orange bits shown in the photograph from the bottom side. If the receivers don't slide in, there are supports still left - Recommended fasteners:
8 x Automotive Rivets
(Optional) 8 x #8-32 x 3/4" or M4 x 16mm screws - Very strong – can support two heavy drills and 2 extra batteries
2. Direct-Mount Version (Fixed Installation Location)
- Mounts directly to pegboard using five automotive rivets
- Faster print time, and can be printed at any layer height or any nozzle size
- Lower-profile design with fewer parts
- Best for fixed installation setups – due to the deep placement of the center rivets, removal without screws may require drilling them out
- Recommended fasteners:
5 x Automotive Rivets
(Optional) 5 x #8-32 x 3/4" or M4 x 16mm screws
Whether you want the flexibility of the Peggit removable mount or the simplicity of a direct one, this drill station provides a clean, reliable, and rugged way to keep your cordless drills ready to go. Great for garages, workshops, or makerspaces.
Files include both mounting versions.
Photos show real-world use with heavy tool stacking.
Boost Me (for free)
Boosts would be appreciated, they cost you nothing but will help keep my wife from complaining about filament costs as I do numerous test prints during the design process.
