Due to the extremely limited selection of bird baths for balconies - here is a very simple version

It is a round bowl with an outer diameter of 220mm and a height of 5cm. The bird bath holds approximately 1.2 liters of water

A small 4cm round elevation is integrated in the center. This provides birds with additional standing space, possibly also for an extensive bath if the water level is suitable
The appropriate balcony holder can be screwed in from the underside (thread size M20)
This simple assembly also allows the bowl to be removed, cleaned, and refilled at any time

Currently, I have developed a total of 6 holder variants - all included in the print profiles

Assembly is very simple: position the holder on the railing and screw in the printed (M18) screw horizontally. A T25 Torx is sufficient here - for more force, simple pliers. A 27mm wrench would be ideal. However, I caution against applying too much force. The screw is printed relatively solidly, but it is still plastic
Should more tensile force be required in special cases, the entire assembly can also be replaced with a metal screw/nut combination

My material recommendation for printing: PETG

If needed, I can provide more adapters at any time
Simply inquire about the desired dimensions - both round and square

NOTE: It is possible that the printed bowl is not 100% watertight, which is hardly achievable with 3D printing. Here, I recommend treating it with a sealant such as “DICHTOL AM Hydro”

Unfortunately, I'm having some problems printing the holder. The plate prints poorly, causing the screw to break. There's a rim on the feeder. Do you have a tip?

So from a distance, I can only try to help The first thing I notice: The print settings were definitely changed! The mount is configured for Gyroid infill with 18% infill and 4 walls. The photos clearly show that a grid was used here I cannot assign the third image by position. However, photos 1-3 look as if the print layers hardly connect with each other. Calibrating the printer and adjusting the nozzle temperature can help here. Looks like it was printed too cold - or much too fast However, I can confirm the visible edge from photos 4. The area looks similar on my end. Unfortunately, I haven't found the cause in the model yet. It looks more or less intense depending on the selected color

Thank you! I had the generic ASA standard profile for the P2s, then I will check that once

Wow, this looks fantastic—your railing appears slightly narrower than my 43mm version. Simply specify your desired adapter size if needed. Adapting it to a square shape is also no problem. This applies to ALL users and interested parties

Hello Stefan, Thank you first for your bird bath !!! Do you perhaps have time to manufacture your holder for a pipe diameter 20??? We would be happy. Best regards

Hello and thank you for the message. So basically I can design a holder for 20mm, of course. However, I suspect that with such small diameters, the hold is no longer so stable. I fear that despite tightening the screw firmly, the holder may turn/tilt. The surface is simply too small. But I will gladly adapt the holder in the next few days. But no guarantee of function. I look forward to your feedback.

Thank you, we are happy to hear that. But only if it is not too much trouble. We will gladly provide feedback on it

Hello again. Sorry for the delay. I only managed to submit the matching holder today. The holder for 20mm round railings is now included in the print profile "Round + square holders". However, it is untested. Looking forward to your feedback. Regards Stefan

Hi, my railing is 35.1mm diameter. Would a version for that be possible? I‘d love to use the bowl I have been using with the mount.

Hey, I printed it without checking but now realised that there is way to much space between the bolt and where the railing ends so it just spins around the railing.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm sorry about that. I've adjusted the model a bit again. The screw guide is now lowered by 11mm and the entire holder has also been shortened by 11mm

I would be pleased to upload a custom-fitted version for a 50mm square here Kindly grant me a few days' time as I am currently on a brief holiday until Sunday I shall then be in touch Independent modification is not feasible in this manner

I absolutely LOVE this design, but the bath it’s too big for my A1 mini. I tried to scale it down, but then the screw on the mount wouldn’t fit. Would it possible to make a smaller birdbath (maximum 175mm) that still fits the 49,7mm round mount?

Thank you. I just created a 170mm diameter tray and set it up as a print profile. However, I haven't been able to print and test it myself yet. Standard mounting hardware can be used here. I hope this helps.

prints great.Fits fine to the balcony rail but started leaking after a week or so. Used the given print profile with Bambu Labs PETG. Not sure where the issue is.

Please refer to the model description. The last sentence contains a note regarding water resistance. With 3D prints, it is almost impossible to achieve complete water resistance. For vases or similar items, a special sealant is recommended.
