Description

The dust collection on most bandsaws suck!

I designed this one for my Record Power BS300e model. Maybe it works for yours too? If it almost fits your model of a bandsaw, but just needs a slight adjustment, write me and lets see if we can fix it :) No promises though.

This one fits a 50mm dust collection hose (inner ø).

I found it working best if my dust collector was only connected to this part (more suction power close to the blade). If I used a Y-splitter to connect both the 100mm outlet and this one, it didn't work as well. Still better than only the original 100mm hose attachment, that's for sure.

If you need a Y-splitter and run 50mm pipe/hose, I made a 100mm to 2x50mm adapter here if you need: 100mm to 50mm Y-splitter

Mounting instructions:

  • You need to remove the original throatplate and the lower blade protection thing. In my case it looked like this:
  • Attach your dust hose to the bottom part of this print as it's a bit easier than when all is mounted.
  • Prepare the throatplate with 3 small screws of your choice (I used 3,5 x 15mm ones) and slide the bottom part in from below. Be careful of the blade ;)

  • Screw the two pieces together.

  • You are done!

It probably won't work with the table at 45degrees. Might do a v2 at some point. But then it's easy enough to remove.

Hope it's of use to you. If so please, leave a rating/comment/boost, thanks!
