Description

I had to make an art project and I decided to make this, it ended up getting put into the DCSD Art Exhibition. Then it won an award and is now on display at the Douglas County Wilcox Building at 620 Wilcox St, Castle Rock, CO 80104.

To assemble this you need some

duck tape

a mate with a smooth surface that can be ruined

epoxy(NOT UV CURE EPOXY)

epoxy coloring

and a stirring stick

And a LOT of hot glue

Low temp hot glue gun

To make this you have to take each frame and flip it so the side you want facing you when you look at it is facing down. Then take a small bead of hot glue and lay it around the edge of the frame. Then take some duck tape and lay a few strips together so that it will be able to cover the entire frame. Then take the sticky side of your tape-mat and stick it to the bead of hot glue. Then after that dries, set the frame and tape-mat on a table then on the outer edge of the frame lay down a very thick bead of hot glue all the way around the edge. Repeat for each frame. Then pour water into each frame to check for any leaks on the sides. If there are no leaks dump out the water and let it sit over night to dry. If there are leaks then dump the water and let it dry then fill in the leak spots with hot glue. Once there are no leaks, mix some epoxy with coloring to how you want it and pour it into each frame. Let epoxy harden for 2 days depending on your epoxy. After your epoxy is fully dry, you can start to peal off the tape on each frame, then rip off any hot glue that is left. Then grab the stand and set it facing front to you. (there is a little F on the bottom for the front side) Then insert each frame into the slot with frame 5 in the back and frame 1 in the front. You may need to clean up some of the epoxy with a knife depending on how good your tape was sealed to the frame.
