Sonic Five - DJI O4 PRO - Free FOV

I designed this external cage for the Sonic Five with one main goal: mount the DJI O4 Pro, extract the frame, and... goodbye props in the FOV!
But, as always, I didn’t stop there. I also created a dedicated slot for Neewer ND filters compatible with the Avata 2, taking the setup to a whole new level.

With this configuration, we can finally leave traditional action cams behind and unlock the full potential of the O4 system!

This is an external cage, mounted outside the main frame, and it attaches to the front standoffs, where the FPV camera is usually installed. The mount is fully integrated for the Sonic Five, with carefully designed pass-throughs and clearance to ensure compatibility with FPV cams – no constraints.

⚙️ The locking system is made specifically for the Sonic Five, but it is also compatible with frames that feature:

• 26mm standoff spacing (center-to-center),
• 5mm diameter standoffs, and
• 28mm standoff height.

To allow for easy installation, the standoff clips are split in the middle, allowing the video unit to be inserted smoothly without bending or forcing the frame.

⚠️ Important note:
This cage is not designed for freestyle or bando crashes. It is intended for cinematic use, as it’s made of TPU and not carbon fiber. Impacts may cause flexing, which could damage the ND filter or FPV camera. I assume no responsibility for breakages or misuse.
