Van's RV-12iS POH Tray
Print Profile(1)

Description
This Tray is designed to hold the Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH) for a Van's Aircraft RV-12iS. It has a tension tab to help hold the POH in place during flight, and two pencil holders on the bottom. The pencil holders work good with standard round #2 pencils, mine measure about 0.300" (7.62mm) in diameter.
This POH Tray is designed to attach on the bottom of the F-01202B-1 Avionics Shelf. CAUTION: DO NOT match-drill this POH tray to the F-01202B-1 Shelf with the Rotax ECU installed. Be careful not to drill into any wires or other installed components! The match-drilling can be done from the top of the F-01202B-1 once the ECU has been removed. Be sure to cleco the holes as you drill them.
This tray is designed to fit between the ECU mounting screws on the lower right side of the F-01202B-1 Shelf, obviously you do not want any screws, rivets or other protruding fasteners in the area where the POH goes into the POH Tray. I used the POH to determine the placement of the POH Tray, placing the edge of the POH coincident with the aft edge of the Shelf, see photos.
Attach the POH Tray to the bottom of the F-01202B-1 Shelf using LP4-3 rivets, installed from the bottom EXCEPT for the two forward-most rivets, which are under the ECU, install these two from the top.
I designed this POH Tray using Fusion and printed it on my Bambu P1S using generic PETG filament. For good strength, print the POH Tray vertically so the side flanges are not aligned with the layers. Also, use tree support so the features print properly.
I added a tab to prevent the POH from sliding out. I used superglue and attached it to the bottom aft edge of the tray.
