This is one of my inventions - based on popularised and more expensive items.

The internal spinning tube of this model was originally called the “drinks cooler jacket” on my CAD software - it existed to be used with a plastic tub - which at the time was economical due to the nature of 3D printing before High Speed printers became the normal - Thank you Bambu Lab!

Parts Required -

How to use -

  1. Cut 11mm OD Tube for the Drinks jacket - push into the pump and the drinks jacket
  2. Place the drinks jacket into the slot in the Bucket
  3. Add ice to the bucket - do no add into the drinks jacket - it must be clear
  4. Fill with enough water - add more to ensure your can spins roughly 400ml to start
  5. Run the pump wire through the hexagon grid top - and place the top onto the bucket
  6. Plug the USB in - Place a drink into the water vortex
  7. Wait 5 minutes - and it should be below 5 degrees Celsius

Design goals -

  • Cooling a can to below 5 Degrees (Celsius) in 5 Minutes
  • Rotation - Enhances the speed of cooling
  • Low cost - USB water pump - roughly £3-4 on Amazon
  • Cool for parties
  • Portable!!!!!!

I feel like I achieved all of these goals - with only the sky as my limit - I do want to improve my design but using this passive spinning technique - I do beleive I am the first to do this EVER!
