Butterfly Hairpin

Stylish, colorful and absolutely suitable for everyday use – that is this butterfly hair clip. 🦋

With this design, function is paramount, alongside aesthetics. I designed it to offer a solution for slipping hairpins. The crucial difference lies in its shape: the "prongs" are not smooth, but rather modeled in a wavy pattern.

These waves act like gentle barbs in the hair. As a result, the pin sits significantly firmer and more securely than conventional sticks – perfect for a bun or other updos that need to last all day.

The model is ideally designed for multi-color printing (AMS). The combination of vibrant colors and dark contours (like blue on glittering black here) makes the butterfly appear particularly three-dimensional. It is a fantastic project to play with colors or to turn remnants of high-quality filament into elegant jewelry.
