GARMIN XT2 MOUNT – INSTALLATION GUIDE
Vehicle: Can-Am Spyder F3S

Material: PA6-CF (or other weather-resistant technical filament)
📦 WHAT YOU NEED:
- 3D printed model (holes for metal pins are pre-designed)
- 4x metal shelf pins ⌀5 × 20 mm
- Epoxy resin (2-part adhesive)
- 3M Primer 94 (surface preparation)
- 3M VHB double-sided adhesive tape
- Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for cleaning surfaces
🖨️ PRINT SETTINGS:
- Filament: PA6-CF recommended (or ASA/PETG for outdoor durability)
- Layer height: 0.16 mm
- Infill: 25%
- Supports: no need support
- Orientation: Position the model for maximum structural strength along stress areas
🛠️ ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
- Insert 4 metal pins (⌀5 × 20 mm) into the pre-designed holes –
✅ No drilling required. - Apply epoxy resin to the contact surfaces, press the parts together, and clamp or secure with rubber bands.
- Allow the epoxy to fully cure (typically 4–6 hours, depending on manufacturer).
- Clean the mounting surface on the motorcycle with IPA.
- Apply 3M Primer 94 to the cleaned surface and let it dry for 5 minutes.
- Attach 3M VHB tape to the bottom of the mount, then firmly press it onto the prepared surface.
- Wait 24 hours for the adhesive to reach full bond strength before riding.
🧭 MOUNTING THE GARMIN XT2:
- The Garmin XT2 clicks into the official Garmin locking cradle, which attaches to this mount.
- Cables can be routed underneath the mount – use zip ties for neat and secure cable management.
✅ TIPS:
- Epoxy creates a strong permanent bond – align parts carefully before curing.
- Metal pins add rigidity and vibration resistance.
- PA6-CF is heat, UV, and moisture resistant – ideal for outdoor motorbike use.
- 25% infill is sufficient for strength while keeping the print lightweight.
