Wristband with Inscription

Wristbands with inscription and a forming tool to adjust them to the wrist.

The wristband template is designed for a wrist circumference of 16.5 cm. Variations in size are easily possible by enlarging the opening.

The inscription is a separate object. This allows for free choice of different colors, font size, font type and text.

The file also includes an oval block for shaping the bracelets. The circumference is currently 15 cm, and can be scaled up or down as needed. Note: the bands bend back slightly after shaping as they cool, so it is better to scale slightly below the required circumference.

Instructions:

Print the wristband and the forming tool.

Fill a shallow bowl, cup or plate with 80-degree Celsius hot water.

Hold the tool in one hand and dip the wristband halfway into the water for 5-6 seconds to warm it.

Remove from water, place the middle onto the side without a notch in the recess of the tool and quickly bend it forward, so that the wristband has its first half-bend. Remove from the tool, place the other half into the water and allow it to soften.

Remove the wristband, slide the formed half around the tool and completely place the warmed half on the other side. The wristband itself cools down very quickly, so you cannot scald yourself, but you have to work quickly.

Minor corrections can also be made by hand at a temperature of 25-30 degrees.

Note:

PLA should be used as the material because it can be shaped at lower temperatures.

In summer at 28+ degrees and direct sunlight it should be better to leave it at home during bike rides etc. Otherwise, the band may bend back due to the heat and need to be reshaped.
