Magnet Helper (Customizable)

Bill of Materials
Description
This 3D printable tool is designed to help you insert round magnets (such as neodymium discs) into holes cleanly, accurately, and without damage.
It ensures that magnets are pressed in straight, flush with the surface, and with consistent orientation—helping you maintain correct polarity across multiple magnets.
⚠️ Important – Manual Pause Required
When using the Customizer, please note that it does not automatically add a printer pause. You must add the pause manually before printing:
- Slice the model.
- Find the layer just before the magnet hole closes.
- Move one layer up.
- Right-click the layer slider and select “Add Pause Print”.
- Slice again and start the print.
If you only adjusted the magnet size in the Customizer (and left all other settings like Tool/Print/Advanced unchanged), the correct pause point is at Layer 124.

🖨️ Printing Instructions
When the printer pauses, carefully place a magnet into each hole.
⚠️ Make sure all magnets have the same direction/polarity (or match your intended orientation).
The easiest method: use a stack of magnets to push each one in.
Ensure that each magnet sits flush with the surface before resuming the print.
Once your tool is printed, inserting magnets will be much easier and more consistent!

Before printing, position the magnet holes near the front of the build plate to make inserting the magnets easier later on.
🧲 Usage
- Place one magnet onto the tool.
- Use the tool to press the magnet into the hole.
- Flip the tool around and use the edge to press the magnet fully in.
This method ensures quick, easy, and consistent magnet insertion—no more struggling!
