Description

An insert for Hot Streak, the board game!

WARNING: Some users are reporting that the newest printing of the game has a smaller top tray, which won't fit this insert! This is designed to fit in a tray that's about 42mm deep, please check your copy before you print!

Features:

Fits sleeved cards, even with thicker matte sleeves
Removable money tray that makes setup faster and makes it easy to grab bills
Plenty of room for fingers to get to the holes to lift the tray out completely to get to the minis
Gaps around components are large and extend underneath, making it easy to pull out components

Note that the base tray has been sliced to more easily fit on smaller printers. After printing, the sides can be glued together if desired. Or, if you have a big enough printer, they can be merged and printed as a single unit.

My personal print settings:

0.4mm nozzle
0.20mm layer height for base, 0.08mm layer height for money tray (to get less stair-stepping, but it's not necessary)
Lightning infill
0 bottom layers for base (since it will never need to be removed from the box)

However, just about any settings should work fine here. Nothing tricky, no supports, etc.

I got the new printing and the insert doesnt fit anymore unless you bend the cardboard inside and remove the plastic that holds the mascots. Just a warning for people getting the reprint.

Oh no! I had no idea they changed it! I can't find any info about the second printing though, is that by chance the newer German version?

Great insert thanks. Just had to be carefull with lightning infill and removing print from plate. Sleeved cards fit easily. Only issue is it’s a tight fit with the rulebook. Printed in Matte Yellow and Basic Jade White. Thanks for the design.

Thank you for the rating, kind words, and pictures! Regarding the rulebook, I actually find it works better to store it under the tray, on the half-shelf right above the mascots' heads. Not necessarily ideal, since you have to take the tray out to get to it, but you have to take the tray out to get to the mascots anyway, and it seems to be more secure and a better fit than putting it on top.

Fits perfectly. The money tray broke when I took it out the print so I had to use glue to fix it. I thing it was my filament but just in case be careful when taking it out.

Thank you for the rating and picture! I'm glad it worked out! When you say the tray broke when taking it out, do you mean when removing it from the print bed? Were you by chance using matte filament? I've found that matte filament tends to be much more brittle than traditional PLA. Also did you try to pull it off the tray before it was completely cooled, and/or without bending the print plate to pop it off? When I have a print that breaks when removing it from the print bed, it's usually been some combination of those things! Either way, I'm glad it was able to work out with a little glue!

Excellent print, fits seamlessly, can agree with another user here who advised to store the rules book underneath the insert for the box lid to close. Thank you for sharing your great design!
