Logitech MX Master 3 – Teflon Tape Cutting Jig

This is a cutting jig designed to create custom-sized pieces of PTFE (Teflon) tape for the Logitech MX Master 3 mouse. The goal is to replace or enhance the mouse's glide pads by applying thin strips of tape cut into precise shapes that match the contact points on the mouse’s underside.

The jig consists of a slotted base where you place your tape, and a lid with recessed cutting grooves. Simply lay your 11 mm wide PTFE tape into one of the three slots, place the lid on top, and cut along the grooves using a sharp blade (a scalpel or hobby knife is ideal). The grooves are shaped specifically to match the MX Master 3’s four feet—two of which are identical, which is why the model includes only three channels, one marked with x2 for the duplicates.

A straight edge on the base lets you trim excess tape after cutting the pads, and the lid stays securely aligned using four Ø5 mm x 2 mm magnets. The base also includes recesses for four Ø11 mm x 5 mm silicone feet, giving the jig a non-slip grip on your workspace for safe and stable cutting.

I personally find this tape glides much more easily than the stock mouse feet, especially on hard or low-friction surfaces.

This model was specifically made for the Logitech MX Master 3, but could potentially be remixed to fit other mice.

How to print

Make sure the lid/upper part is printed on the flat side down.

Magnets

The magnets are inserted into the lid and base during printing, simply insert a pause in your slicer just before the empty space for the magnets are covered.

The base has four indents for silicone feet, simply add after printing.
