I recently purchased a JBL Flip 7 to replace my older speaker and I needed a magnetic mount to place in a very specific spot at work.
So I jumped into Fusion 360 and began to model the holder.
This uses magnets and I've included models with 0, 4, 5 and 7 magnets, depending on how strong you want them to hold on. Where I am using the speaker is high in the air, so I want to absolute most grab possible, so I use these super strong magnets and I printed mine with 7 of them .
Magnets Used (same as in my fidget slider design) https://amzn.to/3EWvHaR
There are 5 models to choose from
- Very Tight Fit - 7 Magnets
- Easier to Assemble - 0 Magnets
- Easier to Assemble - 4 Magnets
- Easier to Assemble - 5 Magnets
- My Favorite - Easier to Assemble - 7 Magnets
The "Very Tight" Version uses backward geometry to basically lock the round brackets that hold the speaker to the base and make it very hard to pull apart - use this model if you plan on leaving the entire setup together and charge the speaker in the bracket. With this version, the included strap with your JBL can be used, but it is much tighter to tuck into the holder
The “Easier to Assemble” models use simple 90 degree geometry and is easy to press fit together - choose which ever one fits your needs best! With this version, you can still use the included strap in your JBL speaker box, as it tucks nicely into the holder.
