Boost Me (for free)

If you liked this model, please consider giving me a boost! Thanks

I recently purchased a JBL Flip 7 to replace my older speaker and I needed a magnetic mount to place in a very specific spot at work.

So I jumped into Fusion 360 and began to model the holder.

This uses magnets and I've included models with 0, 4,  5 and 7 magnets, depending on how strong you want them to hold on.  Where I am using the speaker is high in the air, so I want to absolute most grab possible, so I use these super strong magnets and I printed mine with 7 of them .

Magnets Used (same as in my fidget slider design)  https://amzn.to/3EWvHaR

There are 5 models to choose from

  1. Very Tight Fit  - 7 Magnets
  2. Easier to Assemble - 0 Magnets
  3. Easier to Assemble - 4 Magnets
  4. Easier to Assemble - 5 Magnets
  5. My Favorite - Easier to Assemble - 7 Magnets

The "Very Tight" Version uses backward geometry to basically lock the round brackets that hold the speaker to the base and make it very hard to pull apart - use this model if you plan on leaving the entire setup together and charge the speaker in the bracket. With this version, the included strap with your JBL can be used, but it is much tighter to tuck into the holder

The “Easier to Assemble” models use simple 90 degree geometry and is easy to press fit together - choose which ever one fits your needs best! With this version, you can still use the included strap in your JBL speaker box, as it tucks nicely into the holder.

Can you make a model that is a bit slimmer and make it mountable on a round aluminium boat rail tube diameter 25 mm

can you break this up into multiple plates so this print is compatible with the A1 Mini?

Can you do that in your slicer? just open the file, add an extra plate and then drag and drop?

this was awesome. I did the 7 magnet, difficult to remove model as it is my dedicated golf speaker. magnet seems like it will work well on a golf cart or with my pushcart setup. thank you!

how strong are the magnets? I plan on mounting this in a haul truck and it gets a bit bumpy.

they are plenty strong enough. I used this in an articulating lift 80’ up no problem!

what kind of magnets fit into this?

there’s a link in the file. these magnets are very strong and the pockets are sized for these magnets specifically. if you go with a different or similar magnet choice, the pocket may be be exactly the right depth. you could always try it and if needed, put something like masking tape or paper in the pocket , with the magnet to take up the extra depth (hopefully that makes sense)
