Chinese Wedding Favor Gift Box (Pop-Open Version)

A gift box for Chinese weddings. Red and silk gold color scheme is recommended for a festive look. PETG is suggested for the spring steel for better elasticity.

Assembly is quite simple. There are two versions: a purely printed version and a hardware version. The hardware version requires a 0.5*5*25 compression spring for a better popping effect. The purely printed version's popping effect will degrade over time, unlike the hardware version. You can print whichever version suits your needs.

Switch Assembly: Press the switch first, then insert the arched spring steel, and finally cover it with the lid (tolerances are set to be relatively tight, if loose, add a small amount of glue).

Printed Version Popping Part Assembly: As shown below, arrange the spring steel according to the orientation, insert the head, and finally insert the spring box into the rear gap. Again, a tighter fit is better; use a small amount of glue if loose.

Hardware Version Popping Part Assembly: As shown below, insert the spring, head, and then the lid. If tight, tap it in; if loose, use a small amount of glue.

After three days of testing, the non-hardware version's spring steel will degrade, approximately as follows:

The two main parts are connected by a cylindrical rod, tight on both sides and loose in the middle. If it doesn't fit, use a hammer; this won't affect the movement of the central shaft. The central connecting hole is quite large to ensure smooth opening and closing.
