Summary of changes:

• Increased tolerances
• AMS now 100% optional added the letters for the base of the crown on a separate build plate in the [NO AMS] print profile.
• Better print quality: either by better orientation on the build plate, smaller layer height, adjustments in geometry or a combination of these)
• Easier print of especially the map part by decreasing overhang on the top part and shortening the longitude lines 
• Only 6 connector pins for the orbs on the arms/arches 
• Less supports needed
• Minimal glue needed only for the shine sprite and the islands (and in case of the [NO-AMS] print profile also the letters for the base of the crown.)

This is a full-size 3D model of the Mario Kart World Crown, designed as a detailed display piece or wearable prop. Since I manually modelled it after the crown how it is in the game I won't say it's completely 1:1 accurate but I think it's quite close. (The map part on the globe was quite tricky to model). The model is sized to fit an adult head by default but can be scaled as needed. Keep in mind that the crown is a bit top heavy.

Print Information:

• Print in parts: The crown is divided into separate parts: arches, globe (including the map + longitude & latitude lines), jewels and the base. This makes it easy to print in different colors as desired.
• No AMS required unless you want the “MARIOKART” base text in black. (as seen in the pictures). 
  If you don't have an AMS you can easily 'erase all painting) from the part in BambuStudio:
  
  If you don't want any letters on the crown at all, download the 'Base Letterless.stl' file from the Download STL/CAD Files button and replace the lettered base with this one.
• ⚠️ Shine Sprite: To print the Shine part, check out the ‘Split’ Print profile I created for Alchemist Industries' excellent model of Shine Sprite - Mario Sunshine  https://makerworld.com/en/models/494504-shine-sprite-mario-sunshine#profileId-1601851 
• Supports / Speed: I designed the crown to use as little supports as possible. 
  I recommend printing the Globe Top Part of plate 4 (the map) at 50% speed since I noticed quite some differences in print quality depending on the filament used.

• Designed for easy assembly: 
  The connector pins / pegs can be resized accordingly if you notice too much/little tolerances. 
  Glue is optional but recommended. In my case I glued the two blue globe parts together and the pegs at ‘their base side’

Filaments Used in Example:

• Tinmorry PLA Silk Gold & Silver – for the arches, crown body, and trim.
• Bambu PLA Silk Blue/Purple – for the globe and gems.

In the photo's above I used old settings that had way too little infill (5%) for the Shine, causing inconsistencies in the surface area. I ran out of gold filament but that is fixed in the print profile that I linked (now 20% infill). See here an example of it in Bronze silk filament:



f you don't mind the extra print time you can also change the layer height from 0.12 to 0.08 for an even smoother finish.
