Description
For various celebrations, an automated cocktail mixer would be delightful :-D Solutions exist using Arduino and programming, but that seemed overly complex to me
I designed a pump housing that incorporates a peristaltic pump and a DC motor controller. The housing is designed such that multiple units can be connected by sliding them together. Pogo pin connectors are integrated into the side walls to provide automated power connection. The power supply is a separate module with a DC jack and a button
I envisioned the functionality as follows. Each pump is supplied with the necessary beverage via silicone tubing. The output tubing of all pumps terminates above the cocktail glass
The DC motor controller features an adjustment knob to regulate pump speed. Some experimentation will be needed to determine the correct setting for the desired amount of liquid. The controller includes a switch to turn it on or off
To mix the drink, turn on the switches for the required pumps and hold down the button on the power supply until the glass is full
