Description

Just uploaded this 3D print I made for the Singer Heavy Duty 4452—it’s a set of three thread mounts in different sizes that sit right on top of the machine. Super handy if you’re working with various spool sizes and want everything to stay secure and within reach.

It prints cleanly in PLA, just use standard supports. I recommend printing the base at normal speed to make sure it’s solid—especially the part that locks into the top of the machine. After that, feel free to crank it up.

The most satisfying part? Nailing the fit on the 12-prong insert that holds each mount in place. It snaps in perfectly—one of those rare times where it just worked on the first try. 😎

These mounts are sized for the bigger spools I usually use, but if you shop thread at Walmart or have smaller reels, I’d love to see someone remix this with tighter diameters. Feels like a great opportunity to make it more accessible for more folks in the sewing and crafting crowd.

Let me know if you give it a go or make your own version!
