Description

Dan the Man wasn’t just any 3D designer—he was the 3D designer. The kind of guy who could turn a blender file into a work of art faster than you could say “polygon count.” His keyboard had more coffee stains than keys, and his chair was permanently molded to the shape of his legendary behind. But the true centerpiece of his studio wasn’t his ultra-powerful rig or his insane library of textures. No, it was Howard the Duck: a dusty, stuffed duck mounted on the wall like some kind of feathery deity.

Howard had zero polygons, zero polygons needed. He was the real deal—stuffed, nailed, and judging every one of Dan’s render attempts. If Dan’s mesh was off, Howard would stare down like, Really, Dan? You called this a “finished model?”Sometimes Dan caught himself apologizing out loud to a duck that didn’t even have lips.

“Why not 3D print another duck?” friends asked.

Dan scoffed. “Because Howard’s got character—and also he scares the interns.”

Howard’s glassy eyes watched over the room like a boss. Once, Dan tried to replace him with a sleek digital model for his portfolio, but his computer crashed immediately after. Coincidence? Dan thinks not. Now Howard’s back, mounted in all his dusty glory, silently demanding better coffee and fewer polygon errors.

And Dan? He just shrugged, muttered, “You’re the real MVP, buddy.” Then went back to designing a virtual flamingo that wouldn’t hold a candle to his wall-mounted duck overlord.
