Description

Anyone who has purchased and installed one of the preformed pond liners feels the pain of having an ugly edge for their water feature. Hiding this black plastic edge is a pain and never really looks too good.

What I have designed is a set of 3d printed rocks that fit snugly into these liners, cover up the edge and significantly improve the look of your pond. This all sounds simple, but it has taken about 8 iterations to get something that I like (and I hope you like it too). The design handles the corners well and should be flexible for your pond. While I tried to minimize the amount of supports needed, that is still a necessary evil in this case.

Although the photos show layer lines, you really don't notice them unless you are close, you could also sand them down, but I don't think it is really necessary. I give my rocks a couple quick blasts of white, brown and black spray paint to make them look more natural.

If you like this feel free to boost me. I will be adding more rocks as print profiles to this, I figure I need 5-7 to hide the fact they are repeating.

(Currently at 5 different rocks in the print profiles)

This is a pretty narrow audience, so I hope these rocks help you solve a problem I have encountered with my pond.

You can check out my other designs at my homepage here: https://spencermann.com

It is a work in progress, but I hope to provide more information about my models, and some tips if you want to create your own.
