This project arose from the desire to be able to use a precise positioning aid like the one from Festool for the Makita DTM52 as well – unfortunately Makita itself offers nothing comparable

After much tinkering and numerous adjustments, the geometry of the bracket now works reliably. The design is based on the Festool solution, but has been specially adapted to the DTM52

Note:
Now with a functioning clamp and height limiter! Parts list expanded

The base is currently designed to accommodate a magnet. Unfortunately this is currently not available

This is intended to improve the accuracy of the cut

The lift deliberately does not have radial bearings; the rods did not fit and this made it easier. It is also not necessary, it runs very smoothly. A little silicone oil also helps here

Parts list

2x rod: 10 x 200 mm

Suitable spring: e.g. 100mm

Magnet: 60x13.5x5mm
