Spirit Island insert (2 sizes) (fits expansions)

My friends were looking for an efficient, light weight storage solution for spirit island and it's expansions (Branch & Claw, Jagged Earth, Feather & Flame, Nature incarnate; BC + JE + FF + NI).

Many models were simply too heavy or wasted space. This version is only 550 grams and fits in 2 boxes (no lid lift).

I printed the original version of this organizer for a friend (see link). Some other friends liked it so much they wanted one as well. Unfortunately it turned out the box their base game came with was smaller (282x282 mm versus 284x284 mm for the original), so I created new files to accomodate the new box sizing.

Further changes

-efficient printing layout - if you have an ams, only 4 plates and otherwise 5. Some other organizers require you to print well over 10 plates.

-optional: to iron the flat surfaces of the model to make sure all the logo imprints are completely flush. I tried this with a cheaper filament and it did not turn out well (adhesion issues after ironed layers), so make sure to do a test before you print a full plate!

-included a 284x284 sized version in case you have the larger box (seems to be the kickstarter or early production version).

-in the print file the components are indicated in two colours, I suggest you print them like this to easily identify which insert belongs in which box

This insert still fits all game components, although it will be somewhat tight if you decide to use sleeved cards. We tested with dragon shield inner sleeves and with those everything fits. 

Final note:
I converted these files from Orca to Bambu studio taking care to convert all settings correctly. However, Bambu studio does not allow to disable scarf seam using modifiers. If using Orca, I would recommend to turn off scarf seam for the bottom 1 mm of the models that include imprints.

Update 30-1-2026

Several kind reviewers brought to my attention that the invader trays were too high. They have been rescaled to 34mm so they stack to the same height as the card holders. The amount of print plates has also been reduced from 4 to 3 on the 282x282 mm profiles and is now more friendly to people without ams.

Inserts per colour were requested for the presence tray, these have been added as a new print profile. Refer to images below.

My preferred colours for this insert are listed below: desert tan and latte brown for the main parts, the other 6 colours are to match the player /presence colours
