💡 Balancing Tips for Centrifuge Mode:
- Load tubes in pairs with equal volume, opposite each other.
- Use a dummy tube filled with water to balance single samples.
- Ensure the rotor is mounted securely and spins freely.
- Start at moderate fan speed to test balance before increasing.
- For higher RPM and better results, consider upgrading to a larger fan or motor.
⚠️ Friendly Notes:
- SpinMixStir is a proof-of-principle build, showing how maker-grade supplies can achieve basic lab functionality. While functional for lightweight tasks, its small fan imposes some limits. Larger fans can improve mixing and centrifugation.
- Despite its lightweight build, the suction cup feet keep it stable during use.
🔌 IMPORTANT: When using USB power, ensure the AA battery box switch is set to the OFF position.
