Description

This is version 2 which added slip tabs and reduces filament needs by eliminating the base plate that each top plate used in version 1

Tags that will slide onto the build plate to bypass warning if there is no QR/ArUco code detected. All Bambu OEM build plates associate a plate type with the printing profile, most generic ones do not have the QR/ArUco code. These tags have a built in tab that will secure both to the top and bottom of the plate.

Note:

These parts have a built in support on each tab, not introduced from the slicer. These supports are .5mm x 2mm and you can easily firmly press the Tag onto the plate and they will snap or quickly use an exacto blade and swipe them off. You will see on the CAD view the tabs colored in yellow is what will snap off / be removed.

There are 5 parts to this.

  • Tag - Textured PEI
  • Tag - 3D Effects & Smooth PEI (Smooth PEI and 3D Plates are generally a smooth surface and share the same QR/ArUco code so assigned to one tag to save on material and print time)

At the moment the Studio doesn't show support for these but once they are added they can be used.
  • Tag - Cool Plate
  • Tag - Engineering Plate
  • Tag - Bambu Cool Plate - Super Tack

Would recommended to print with a filament that is suitable to sustain higher temperatures over print duration such as; ASA, ABS, CF, PETG.

Nice. Just got tired to have to Ignore Plate warning every time I print PLA on GECO plate. Yes I know, I can turn off plate detection, but I don't want to do it every time I'm not using Bambu Plates. However I modified tag for my taste (what I'm doing most of times LoL). Biggest change is reduced thickness of tags top side from 2mm to 1mm and changed text. Rest left the same and I didn't change anything in profile settings. Came out very good and on my first test prints it works as it should. Detection warning is gone now. Printed in SUNLU Black Matte PLA and some old EONO (Amazon brand) PLA+. Yes I did use PLA on this print, but as printing on GECO plate heating is completely turned off, it is completely fine.

Not sure this was designed to work with the H2C. Seems to have printed fine, but printer doesn't recognize it.

Really nice. Even works on my Wham Bam PEX plate that doesn't have the full-sized tab like the original Bambu does. I did have to use some VHB tape, but so far so good!
