Toilet hinge repair kit

READ BEFORE PRINTING: The model is suitable for a pin with an outer diameter of 6 mm!
RECOMMENDED MATERIALS: PETG, ABS, ASA, PC (https://bambulab.com/en/filament/guide)

REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION:

• hammer
• Screwdriver
• super glue (for plastic) optional but recommended
• lighter optional but recommended
• pliers
• vise
• blade

TIPS FOR INSTALLATION: 

1. Check that the pin has a 6 mm diameter, then remove it from the broken support using force (you can use a lighter to make the plastic more malleable).
2. Let the pin cool down and attach the semi-hole portion of one 3D-printed half-moon piece to the lower groove of the pin.
3. Apply glue to the base with the “spikes” and immediately insert the bottom of the pin into the dedicated hole (use a hammer to help, since the tight tolerance avoids play).
4. Clamp the two half-moons to the base using a vise.
5. Apply glue to the two half-moons and immediately position the 3D-printed top component by sliding it through the dedicated hole for the pin (since the tolerance is tight, you will need to force it in with a hammer, making sure to strike on the cylindrical part of the hole, not the base).
6. Retrieve the gasket from the broken piece and trim it with a blade to fit the seats of the 3D-printed model.
7. Insert the gasket under the base of the piece.
8. Place the kit onto the toilet hole and insert the screw, tightening it firmly to allow the glue to bond.
9. Wait for half an hour.
10. Loosen the screw and adjust the hinge and toilet seat position.
11. Tighten the screw.
12. DONE.
