To specifically repair smaller lawn areas, I purchased a sod cutter. However, I lacked a suitable box for cultivating the matching sod pieces – so I designed one myself.

This cultivation box has a removable bottom, making it particularly easy to remove the finished sod pieces. The bottom is also perforated to allow excess water to drain and prevent waterlogging. The internal dimensions of the box are 144 mm × 95.5 mm and are precisely matched to the dimensions of the sod cutter.

I have also designed a matching pressing tool that allows the soil to be pressed down evenly and cleanly – ideal for even germination and a compact result.
